A documentary on a Mexican stewardess, who comes to Lapland to see the northern lights and the mountain scenery of the children's book Heidi. The beautiful lady ends up in the world of reindeer and huskies. Gradually, she gets to do everything, from using the lasso to slaughtering reindeer - with a sunny attitude.

A conflict on fishing rights washes the Sea Sámi coast. With the blessing of the state of Norway, the big fishing vessels took the fishing rights of the Sea Sámi in the fjords 25 years ago. If the Sámi want to have their fishing quotas back, they have to buy them. The documentary, which has led to heated discussion in Norway, follows a young fisherman, who tries to earn his income from the sea but repeatedly runs into regulations.

At the RiddoDuottarMuseat - Kautokeino outdoor museum, the old turf hut was falling apart. The hut needs restoration. In the film we see what kind of materials is needed to the turf hut, and how to find them. We get to see how to build a turf hut from start to end. Skilled turf hut builders together with duodji students from Sami college university cut turf, raise hut poles, places BEASSI and turfs the hut. This way the hut raise, and is in use again. Huts were earlier common residents for samis. Most people knew how to make them. Now samis live in houses, and the hut building skills are lacking. Turf huts are still in use both in reindeer families and by hunters and fishermen. In this film we see how elderly people share their hut building skills with younger persons who want to learn.

Tora grew up in Oslo, this is why grandfather wants to show her the good and not so good sides of the small seasami village. Magnar Mikkelsen, 70 years old, tells about the 30 homes in Veidnes and its story. He himself calls this film a gift to his granddaughter, 15-year old Tora. Tora has visited grandfather every summer, but with this film she gets to know Veidnes in a different manner.
